inverter

I'm going to take my nordcold refridgerator out and install resdentshal ref. my coach has a charger but I don't know how many amps it charges I will add two more 6 volt battery what inverter do I need

  • New rigs with a residential fridge onboard normally have a dedicated 1000 watt inverter installed. Going with a larger inverter will allow you to power additional items such as your HDTV, satellite receiver, and laptops to name a few. Rigs that come with a stock residential fridge come with an inverter sized just big enough to power the unit since their main intent is to power the fridge while driving from one rv park to another.

    Ditto on the 1,000 or more, IN fact I'd go with a 2,000 watt Inverter/charger.. Upgrade the charger at the same time
    2KW can also power the Microwave and Televisions and such in its spare time.
  • Most seem to work well with 1000+ watts sine wave. I recommend GoPower brand. Others are good too.

    Charging amps are not as critical as voltage. Need to list the converter make and model.
