He asked about "TV and fan". Fans are mostly 12V, but running fan @ 3A DC all day and half the night will draw more than 120V TV. I prefer no middleman either, 2A inverter idle is horrible - and likely eats up the same or more under load, not including the load. You can find a smaller inverter with lower idle current, if it's just for TV.
Though it seems he has charging or battery problems before everything else.
