IOTA Circuit breaker Box

I have a iota circuit breaker Box in my 2003 Holiday Rambler presidential TT. I am looking to replace the single 20 amp breaker for a double 20th breaker.
I am looking for information on:
1. Where to find a manual on this circuit breaker Box.
2. Where to find a Double 20 amp breaker that will fit into the single breaker slot.
Thanks

  • Iota makes Converters and BOXES to install breakers. Magnetek makes breaker boxes but does not have Magnetek breakers. WFCO makes 120 breaker boxes but does not have WFCO breakers. The breakers are standard breakers made by the large Breaker manufacturers. Does your unit have 50 amp service or 30 amp service? Doug
  • Not to argue with you but to help me understand, Why is it then that on the front of the box that has combination fuses and breakers on it has to letters IOTA?
Also there is a unit on the other side of this Box that I believe to be the converter.

Thank you for your response and for your service sir.
I am thinking that I need to remove the single 20 amp breaker from the Box to take it in to see if I could match it. This is why I'm also looking for some sort of manual to gather some more information on how to access it and remove it from the Box. I am thinking of the one you showed me from lowes is going to be too big. I may have to go to a specialty store to find the part. When using the Internet I was unable to find a circuit Box made by iota.

Iota makes the converter. not a breaker box. just remove one and go to Lowes or HD.

The breakers should be available at most big box hardware stores.
I believe you are asking for a "twin" breaker" Not a double pole.
    Lowes 20 amp tandem breaker
    Best converter

50 years electrician and never heard of IOTA breakers. You will not find one. That is the name of the box. Pull one from your box and take it to Lowes or HD. There are about 5 brands that will fit. should be listed on the box cover or inside the box. They just snap in and out. Lift out the opposite side of the breaker from where the wires attach. Turn off the breaker before you remove it. You are looking for a Twin breaker not a double pole.
  • IOTA ILC Manual - Best Converter

IOTA Engineering in their User Manual wrote:
NOTE: The Load Center is listed to accept any standard 1" wide circuit breaker if the interchangeable models currently on the market, whether one pole or twin. It is not brand or part number specific. ILC-30 models are listed for a 30 amp breaker as a main. The main breaker must be secured in place by means of a hold-down clip.
  • You could call Best converter. They are very good on providing information.
I would take your breaker into store to match it up!
  • Circuit breakers are fairly standardized; there are only a few common residential types, and virtually all RVs use the most common one. If you bring the existing breaker to your big box store or electrical supply place, they should be able to get you an appropriate one. There's a reasonable chance the sticker in the electrical box also gives some specifications.

Iota's web site doesn't appear to have documentation readily available on their old products, unfortunately.
