From all the graphs and charts, and all the comments from different units from actual users I've concluded: If it takes pages of charts and graphs with circles and arrows to distinquish between the two, they are equal for camping purposes. And then:
1) If you have an Iota or PD,or likely a powermax boondocker no real reason to spend the money to switch unless you need significantly more amps
2) All are good units that basically do what they claim. Pick what's important, (price, availablility etc.) and go for it
3) all this talk about one takes 10 minutes less to get to xxx charge. Face it, your out camping. will you REALLY time the generator run time that close or even care?? Not me. turn it on, go do something, turn it off when convienient.
4) If you have the typical WFCO 55A unit, and typical TT wiring, and dry camp, don't expect to get your battery charged from a generator in anything resembling a reasonable time frame. That's the one to change out.
