- LantleyNomadWhen I was using a portable I chose a Robin Subaru 4300is. Not as popular as the red or blue but just as reliable. More importantly it delivers full power just as if you were plugged into a pedestal.
Not much heavier than a Honda 3000 at 167#.
It is a great unit. I still own it however I no longer use it for camping. - mikestockExplorerMaybe.

I've probably done it this way 30 or 40 times. You can hear the gennies sync up when you complete the circuit. Maybe I'll change.
Maybe you'll destroy one of your inverters before you change, too. That'll cost you. - mikestockExplorerI've probably done it this way 30 or 40 times. You can hear the gennies sync up when you complete the circuit. Maybe I'll change.

You are doing it wrong...
how to synch phase of 2 honda eu generators. - was_butnotnowExplorerOne post was about a remote start for the 3000is. I have had a remote starter which I installed and lost the remote key chain stater and later needed to replace the choke servo and was pleasantly surprised when I called the company I bought it from that they had these pars and at a good price.
So my bottom line is if you are thinking about a Honda 3000is and want a remote starter I would look at Sun Genie Remote at www.sunent.com
The one on Amazon looks like the one I have so would think if parts are needed later on I bet Sun Enterprises in Denver, CO 303 287 7566 could get parts for you. I post this for someone down the road who may need parts and searched for this post. I am in now way connected to this company. Just a happy customer. - mikestockExplorerI may be doing it wrong but have always had both units running before attaching the banana plugs.
- NinerBikesExplorerI have paired an Eu2000i and a Eu1000i, and run my Dometic 13.5k off of it. Can be done, Honda does not recommend it. Keep both of them in regular mode, not Eco, if doing this.
You must pair them with both motors turned off and not running. This allows them to both be in proper phase once you start the first one. - burningmanExplorer III will chime in to say I've also successfully paralleled EU2000 and EU3000 Hondas, and have paralleled three. They do all play well together.
By the way, my choice is two EU2000s instead of an EU3000.
The 3000 is a terrific unit but like the others said, it's just too heavy.
