Is a Honda eu3000is the right generator for me?

I've owned the EU3000IS for six years now. It will run my A/C and other items most of the time with no problems at all. But NinerBikes is correct. If you want to run the microwave, just shut off the A/C while you're running it. The only other issue I ran into was when the DW was using a hair dryer with the A/C on. But if you overload the genertor, it's not a problem. Just go outside and reset it after you lighten the load.
