One of the largest benefits of us moving to a motorhome was the integrated generator. It would be a huge deal for us. At least half the time we are parked without utilities. For $10 of gas, I can still sleep in air conditioning even when at a free truck stop. Can't do that with a small portable!
Lets not overlook the convenience of pressing a button right from the drivers seat. No stopping and pulling something out from storage. Oh, and how about running roof air and a tv while on the road?
