MrWiz, I don't know if the old vent leaks. It didn't, though. (I expect it probably does now, after all it has been through.)
The AC gasket sounds great. Or for 1/8" do u think just dicor and putty/butyl is ok?
I am thinking that big heavy fan is probably going to want some stiffening. Though I will be thrilled if you guys tell me it is ok with my single layer fg/osb roof bec OMG, my list of chores this summer is overwhelming!
