They went to plastic for more than 1 reason.
On a long trip, if the metal can touch anything metal, it can wear a hole thru the side in less miles than you would ever believe.
Another reason is rust !!!! I wouldn't have any kind of crappy metal can ever again.
Ever see a metal boat tank wear right thru the bottom of a boat ?? I have, not to mention the rusty stains where the tank slid off the pc of carpet that was supposed to stay under it. I'll take the carb **** over the metal **** anyday.
