Is it okay to equalize maintainence free batteries?
Just wondering if it could possibly hurt a maintenance free battery? Thanks for all responses. Gary

Hi Gary, this is not a direct answer to your question but I think it may help.
I recently purchased an AGM (sealed maintenance free) battery for a powered pallet truck here at work and wanted to be sure that we treated this $4,000 battery well. Checked the manufacturers instructions and they say equalize, once at the start and after every 50-100 hours of use.
This is from GNB Industrial Power which is a division of Exide Technologies.
