Hi,
Width of vehicle (legality) becomes an issue. RV's sometimes are already pushing that limit. I'd have to have mounting that is narrower than the existing awning. That means panels on one side only. It would be possible with deep enough pockets to nest a double layer of panels on the roof which could be deployed with electric actuators.
Unfortunately, my pockets are not so deep and are often threadbare. LOL
