I would plug in a volt meter (Or a Kill-a-watt) and measure the voltage. In fact a Kill-a-watt has a pass through outlet it will let you measure both voltage and current.. Then report back to us with the findings.. We may be able to assist better with that information.
By My estimate the Kill-a-watt meter is about a kilobuck ($1,000.00) worth of meters in a 20 dollar (or less) box.
