Jensen AWM965 only plays DVD's in black and white??

Just got back from a 2 week trip to Mt. Rushmore and had a great time! Only problem was rainy days we had to watch movies in black and white! We tried everything with no success. The TV is LG LED and ...

I have seen this when either composite or component cables are not connected properly, but you state that you have tried "everything", so you must have a bad player.
