OP HERE - LOL, I'm a girl. Quick setup would be great...just not the dirty part (it's a girl thing. I'm wondering how I'll live with just military showers in Baja!). :)
And you hit the nail on the head with what I am hoping to accomplish. A permanent roof mount would not serve me in the future at BLM, National Forests, etc.
I like the idea of putting it on the roof after I park, but I have no way to get up there. And can't afford the weight of a tall enough ladder.
I just walked over to the little trailer and looked on the roof - looks like lots of room to put a 100W panel.
