Yes. This is what I was saying a few days ago.
1) Controller-battery booster cable (the one with crocodiles) should be gauge 8 or better, if you want the distance 20ft or more.
2) Panel-controller MC4 cable gauge is not important - they only come in #10 or #12. In your case #12 is fine, but #10 is better for possible future upgrades. This is - if the "distance" is less than, say, 40 or 50ft (which means 80-100ft total length of 2 leads). If you want it farther than 50ft, then definitely go for #10, or even custom-made #8.
