My neighbour at the park here I just sold my two 100w panels to, (they get just over 6a each for 12.x total when aimed right, sun high enough, sky blue enough) --you don't use Imp with PWM--means nothing--youn use Isc for your actual expected max amps--- has set them up as a portable on a stand he made.
He got a bunch of wire for them at Home Depot, which is called "Well Pump Wire" he says, and it is #12 he says. Not a clue, know nothing about it. Don't have the length, but I measured Isc ok for him at the far ends which will go into the controller.
So that's 12a on the however long #12, so no problem with 6a for miles of that wire IMO.
