Yeah you could afford to use more lights if needed.
Most likely won't need to use the lights more - after dark, I'll be in the Cantinas, dancing to the rhythmic beat of "La Cucaracha"
Aw, just kidding...
Here's what I'd do: Mount the controller as close to the batteries as physically possible. Use big wire. You don't need to look at it if you have a meter or amp hour counter. This would be a permanent mounting. Install a two-wire lead with a good, durable attachment system for the module-->controller wiring. This is also permanent. The Anderson Powerpole connectors are the most durable I know of but there are other sockets and attaching connectors that are also robust. Use your new 10 AWG MC4 cables (or the 12 AWG set) to attach the module to your connectors when in use. When not in use detach the module wires from the connector, wrap it all up and stow away. I like permanent mounting on roof more but each individual has a different camping situation so portability may rule in some cases. I really like RJfishing's receiver mount, it keeps the modules off the ground and may provide insurance against campground accidents or unwanted disappearance.
I know you have aversion to drilling holes into your RV but there are many fittings that would make this not a problem. The marine through-hull or through-deck fittings are built to be weather proof.
