Keeping from making a $8656.11 mistake with fuel

This is no help,I spoke to a lead mechanic at a local Ford Dealership while camping. He said they average 2-$10K repairs a month caused by someone putting the wrong fluid in the wrong hole! Not necessarily gas in a diesel but still operator error
This is just one dealership.
He said lots of parts required are on backorder because it happens so frequently
