Key fob for 2007 Tioga

My 2007 Tioga 31m did not come with remote key fobs, so I bought one on Ebay. My motorhome does have electric door locks. I followed the instructions in the Ford owner's manual, which states to cycle eight times between number 3 and no. 4 on the ignition key. I followed the procedure several times, but never got it to go into programming mode. I had the door closed, but unlocked, brake off, but never got the confirmation mode of locking and unlocking doors to confirm programming mode. Have any of you Tioga owners had any experience with this? Thx.

    I just read another thread on this forum that unless the motorhome is factory equipped with a "receiver," the key fob (transmitter) will not work. How can I tell if my motorhome has this receiver? The owner's manual makes no mention of a receiver, but does contain instructions on programming the fob. Can anyone Tioga owner, specifically a 2007/2008, shed some light on this? Thx.
