King Pin Stabilizer

I need to relevel my landing gear legs and add some leveling blocks under the landing gear legs. Most king pin stabilizers say they will support up to 5000 lbs. Can I safely use one to accomplish this task?

    Wouldn't want to trust it....

Why not just back truck up and hookup...raise legs, set blocks, then unhook
    Faster, easier then cribbing/jacking etc.

Unfortunately the motor would not raise the trailer due to the one slightly crooked leg binding. I ended up using a bottle jack to help the landing gear motor and hooked up. I also ordered a new stronger motor. (LG-196308)

Your best solution is to use a couple of bottle jacks placed behind the landing gear legs on the frame. Jack them up, raise the legs put your blocks under and drop them bwck down.

Thanks for your suggestion. I placed a bottlejack behind the crooked leg and was able to straighten it out. Worked like a charm.
  • I would not trust it as you will be under the trailer when adjusting the landing gear legs and the blocks under the legs.

If the stabilizer were to collapse it could be a very bad result.
