Kinro Window latch

Has anyone ever replaced one of these latches on their RV window? The window is made by Kinro which I think was acquired by Lippert Industries. Any info on how to proceed would be appreciated.

  • I'm not familiar with that particular Bramd so my comments may not help you. That said most of the Window Latches that I have encountered in RV s have been made of Plastic, and are prone to being snapped off when closing .

If this is the case just drill out the usual rivet and replace the latch with a piece of metal that can be drilled and attached with a Nut and Bolt or if You prefer a decent sized Rivet. It doesn't take an expert machinist to see that the Original Plastic part was just something that pivoted into a slot in the window frame. You may not end up with a fancy handle on the latch ,but you will have a latch that keeps the window closed!
