Does anyone know if the nuts (or other mechanism) which hold the bolts into the fiberglass body are stationary? I believe one of my bolts is broken (by me overtightening! Aaargh!), and I would like to...

If you are talking about the bolts in the standoff, the nuts are fastened to the round tube of the ladder, and will not fall off if you remove the screw.
You may need to give a better description. I don't think the screws into the fiberglass, would have nuts behind them.
