- agesilausExplorer IIIActually I can tell you from personal experience that light weight trash bags work just fine. On those midnight shifts bored workers discovered that you can fly trashbags and even add strips of aluminum foil and lights to look like a UFO....
I'd get the cheap non-reinforced bags as they are lighter. Hydrogen works too for that matter. - IAMICHABODExplorer II

As usual Amazon has everything- rk911Explorerwhen i was flying i carried an EFB...electronic flight bag (ipad mini) with software that would show my position, airports, etc. a digitized version of the FAA sectional charts. but i ALWAYS carried and had within reach a current FAA paper sectional map to use WHEN not IF the EFB device failed. old school works. the OP will need a large enough balloon that can be seen for at least a couple of miles.

Back in the late 90’s out there I was using an old Garmin emap strapped to the gas tank on my KTM 380sx. Never got lost. - stacaz822ExplorerWhere do you get a 3 or 4 foot reusable balloon and refillable helium tank?
