I have done a number of poly vs mono test,side by side, matching set ups. After I was done I sold off my monos and replaced them with polys. The same was reported by the owner of Navajo solar.
Now at one time mono tech was ahead of poly and my first 220w mono was noticeably smaller than my 230w poly. My 245w mono has the same frame as my 250w poly but the cells inside the cell take up a inch less space on one end. The so called advantage is not something you can get a benefit from.
on CL right now there are 250w polys for $200, 300w polys for $220. I can even dig up the number to Navaho, my three new 250w's were $525 with warranty.
