I live in a small town in corn country. A popular hobby is removing the muffler from your diesel pickup so it's louder than a Harley, and making it belch a thick cloud of black smoke every time you shift gears. Not sure how that's done.

That kinda thing is done here as well. The same people who do this kind of stuff would be the first to complain if you went and peed in their hot tub. But they have no problem polluting your air. Brought up badly by people who don't care about anyone but themselves.

I would like the coal roller bunch to get a mandatory first offence of 10,000 dollar fine and forced compliance to return their vehicle to legal status. Second offence of a 100,000 dollar fine etc. Probably a good revenue source for some of the small towns around here. Any deliberate pollution should be dealt with with life changing consequences. Wishful thinking. Most don't seem to care.
