Leave carb drain open on Honda gen in storage?

After I drain the carburetor after using my Honda 2000, should I leave the drain screw open till the next time I use it, or should I close the drain while the generator is in storage? (I run it every...

I drain the tank and drain the carb, closing the carburetor drain valve when done. I don't add white gas or anything else.
