Leave carb drain open on Honda gen in storage?

After I drain the carburetor after using my Honda 2000, should I leave the drain screw open till the next time I use it, or should I close the drain while the generator is in storage? (I run it every...

Niner, I am not sure I understand why you are pulling the rope 15 times. Is that to prime the carb? (Forgive me if I am displaying my ignorance here -- because I am.) Doesn't that risk flooding the engine? (More ignorance. Oh, well.)
