Leave carb drain open on Honda gen in storage?

After I drain the carburetor after using my Honda 2000, should I leave the drain screw open till the next time I use it, or should I close the drain while the generator is in storage? (I run it every...

In my little used equipment and my generators when they are going to sit along time i use VP SEF fuel. Its expensive but lasts a couple years in the machine with no ill effects.
