Leave carb drain open on Honda gen in storage?

After I drain the carburetor after using my Honda 2000, should I leave the drain screw open till the next time I use it, or should I close the drain while the generator is in storage? (I run it every...

When it's wet, first pull, almost every single time. When it's been stored with the carb drained... 15 to 18 or 20 pulls of the starter rope. EU2000i and EU1000i also.
