Leave carb drain open on Honda gen in storage?

After I drain the carburetor after using my Honda 2000, should I leave the drain screw open till the next time I use it, or should I close the drain while the generator is in storage? (I run it every...

Hi,

I'm guessing I can do the same thing with my Yamaha Sieb electric start.

1. turn off gas
2. run until it stops
3. attempt to start with full choke.

Would that be about right?
