Here are some other comments that explain the issue:
"These are very bright and easy to install but there is definitely a cross-hatched pattern of lighter (whiter) and darker (yellowish) light emitted from these fixtures. It is much more evident when illuminating a solid white object than anything else. If those who haven't noticed it would hold up a sheet of white paper anywhere the light shines I'd almost guarantee they'd see it clearly. We have several white surfaces in our camper where I installed three of these and the projected patterns was very annoying. The yellowish bands are about the same color as white plastic after it has aged, so not only is the pattern itself distracting, whatever it's shining on looked old and dreary too. So I was in a quandary trying to decide if the much brighter output, lower power consumption and heat was worth enduring, and hopefully getting accustomed to the banding. .."
"These are terrible, they make everything in the fifth wheel yellow and white blotches. I finally can't stand it anymore and I am buying nine new fixtures to change them out."
I have found the same sorts of negative comments on reviews of many LED dome light fixtures. I am looking for fixtures that do not have this issue.
