Led lights

The 48 1210 panels I bought 3 years ago were pricy by todays standards, $3.29 shipped. Now you can get a 10 pack for $17.99. I've had one pigtail that I had to resolder but other than that they are wonderful. We never even think about lighting up the rig at night. Great color and almost too bright so we use smaller cobs in the overheads for a softer light everywhere.

It use to be that the LEDs in the retail stores were regulated but you don't hear so much about that now.

If you bought them at CW you paid WAY TOO MUCH. Sorry to break the news. We looked at the cob type LED bulbs such as those sold at CW. Just couldn't shallow the cost. But LED replacement bulbs don't have to be expensive. Our TT has 9 fixtures each using 2 automotive type incandescent bulbs. When boondocking they would "eat" our single battery quickly requiring us to run the generator more than we wanted in the evenings. We purchased 18 of the 48 LED flat panels with a sticky tape backing on eBay. As I remember they cost about $2 per panel free shipping from Hong Kong. They probably have 30 days boondocking and 20 days in campgrounds. Out of the 864 individual LEDs we have two that have died. Happy with the power consumption when boondocking and the warm white color

The led light is focused. Light output also varies among manufacturers. We turn on an extra light on led compared to standard lights. However, my led lights draw .13 to .21 amps depending on which light is on. Previous draw was 1 - 2 amps each.

Not sure if you bought them to be brighter or not, that depends on the particular LED, the big attraction is the minimal power draw and they (nearly) never burn out.

Amazon has several waterproof and not, and Ive had no trouble with the sets I've bought online! Different Mfg every time

I have 48-LED panels from ebay in my RV lights, $20 for 10 of them, about same brightness SLIGHTLY whiter tint that incandescent, and just a fraction of the power draw. Color hasn't shifted on them at all, never even heard of that on a LED.

They aren't perfect at only $2 per light, I had to put new adhesive on them because the junk that came on them only stuck for like a week, but beyond that, they work great and are quite a value.
