Culprit was some corrosion on the fuses in the control unit (behind the clear plexiglass) at the hydraulic valve control assembly. Pulled the fuses, cleaned up the contacts, reinstalled them...no issues since.
Thanks for that. Another place to look! I didn't know there were fuses in there. The problem for me is access to the unit. I can see the clear plexiglass but getting to it is another story. It's buried pretty deep.
