Seems to be two definitions of "float"
1. whatever the charger is still doing after the battery is full
2. enough voltage to keep the batt from self-discharge. "Maintain"
BB seems to use #1 since LFP self-discharge is so little.
The PD "lithium " converter seems to be a "Sales" invention to be "with it". Some LFP owners even prefer to do the recharge at less than 14.6 except when going for a balance.
An adjustable voltage converter would let you do lower than 14.6 without dropping all the way to 13.6 or 13.2, but if you already have the PD with CW, it makes sense to use that for sure.
