Electric car batteries are JUST beginning to be recycled because they have not been around long enough for there to be enough bad ones to recycle. Tesla is just beginning to get depleted batteries back into their Nevada plant for in-house recycling. Next month it's expected they will announce their million mile battery. Other than a few defectives that get replaced under warranty, most Chevy Volt batteries are still chugging along at 8-9 years of age, 200K miles plus. Been driving electric for better than 8 years now. Am anxiously awaiting electric RVs. 1/3 the fuel cost and virtually no maintenance is what electric vehicles deliver. FAR better for the Earth. EV batteries are recyclable just like any other battery.
