What in the world is the AH capacity of fully charged Tesla car batteries, anyway?
In the RV world, the electrical power consumed by air conditioners and electric heaters is so astronomical as to be nearly impossible to consider them being powered for any length of time by RV battery banks regardless of the physical size of the battery banks.
How does Tesla cram that much lithium battery power under the floors(?), in the fender voids(?), in the underhood void(?), and/or under the trunk floor(?) so as be able to power both the car and A/C or heater on long trips?
I find it hard to believe. :h
my question exactly. if a car AC can be run on battery power plus move the car, why can't that battery run a larger AC ??

Depends on the model. A 37000 dollar cheapy Tesla Model 3 (the most common Tesla sold) Has about a 55 kilowatt battery And about 250 miles of range. Our all wheel drive model 3 has about a 75 kw battery and is good for around 320 miles. The longest range Tesla model S has a 100 KW battery and is good for about 400 miles. (All EPA numbers).
Air conditioners in vehicles don’t have to cool much area as car interiors are small. Our leaf had a menu where you could see the various draw of the various systems of the car. If you got in a hot car in full sun and turned on the AC the draw would go over 3500 watts but over the next 10 minutes would drop to 500 to 1000 watts. RV’s are bigger. I suspect this number would stay bigger longer.
It is common for EVers to leave their AC (or heat) on if just running into a store for 10 or 20 minutes. Kind of a waste but we are guilty as well. One can also just use your phone app to pre cool or pre heat the car as needed. Great feature. Heated seats are a great feature in winter and allow for a toast comfortable commute without having to make it too warm inside. (Think winter jackets etc). One also doesn’t have to back out of the garage for pre-heating as there is no exhaust. Great winter vehicle for us.
