On the A/C you may just need control boards, They are part of the lower unit, also a new T-Stat... Way cheaper than full replacement.
Where I used to work we took a direct hit.. not a near miss but a direct hit.
I have high praise for the Ham Radio operators who designed that installation.
Once we got our undies all changed.. EVERYTHING WORKED!!!!!!
(one battery charger was toast but the batteries were good and held till a new one could be installed).. That's one hardened site.
