Lightning Strike/Power Surge
Well after 5 years full-timing it we got our first REAL lightning strike/power surge and no I did not have a surge protector on the post (and yes i was warned to have one but i just kept putting it off waiting for a sale)but I sure do now!! when it happened everything went dark then back on but both AC's were going off and on, I turned off the thermostat and they both started rung full out the I shut off their breakers which turned them off. Our local rv guy's we like came out and verified that both AC's were toast so I now call the insurance guy. While the adjuster is standing in our fiver we notice the micro/convection oven counter light is going bright to dim and back again and at that point he tells me to be prepared for more damage than we really have, the next day our flat screen tv is going black every 3 to 4 hours,,, geeze here we go!!
my questions are;
-As the strike was a week ago and aside from the AC units crapping out that night these things are cropping up 5 days later would there be such a delay?
-Also I have a plug-in meter that shows the power coming from my wall receptacles which now reads zip instead of 110.
Any thoughts or experiences will be appreciated!
