I was planning on 4 -12v in series, but after speaking with Relion, and others, that may not be a good move. Balancing is apparently a problem when charging across 4 batteries at 57v, which my solar is. I'm assuming charging 12v in parallel is fine.
They said they're redesigning their 48v battery. I think I'll wait and see what comes of that.
On a general note, I would think more RVs would be rethinking the 12v systems given that big inverters require that huge wire, which is a real pain.
Here's something I didn't know (from Relion):
" If you size your system to discharge 50% each cycle you will not see balancing issues. If your system is set to 100% DOD per cycle you will more than likely see an issue faster. "
