Grit dog,
I am using one SiO2 on my generator. It works much better than the AGM that it replaced.
My first battery upgrade was to 875 amp-hours of Marine batteries which lasted me for over 9 years. They were purchased in 2005.
The telcom jars refuse to die. When they do I'll go SiO2 and probably reduce the capacity down to 200 amps (i.e. 2 batteries).
I used the RV for just 5 weeks last year, mainly for work trips and for those I'm a "power pole princess". I love my hybrid inverter/charger.
