Lead acid batteries eat themselves alive. It's what acid does for a living. I've not read anything about lithium storage batteries decomposition. When stored in an optimum maintenance fashion.

When I departed the Bay-Arhhia, for the border, 500 miles was a minimum as I considered the restaurants (excepting the Harris Ranch) to be slightly poisonous.
