- JoeHExplorer IIII had a step support that folded up under the step and was held in place with a clip sort of like you use to hold a broom. You swung it down and gave the screw a few twists to hit the ground. Worked very good. I think I bought it at camping world.
- Just_LeeExplorerI have this sneaky feeling this is one of this (One Time) items that some guy made a few in his Garage and sold them but never marketed them.
I'm positive he had other products that he was selling in the (Big Tent) at Quartzsite..... I have searched and searched the internet with no luck all I find is Auto Scissor Jacks....... Oh Well..... - tragusa3ExplorerI want one too. I don't see how settling of stabilizers would hurt the steps. The bottom step is on a hinge.
- Just_LeeExplorerThe Scissor I'm looking for was specific to RV steps. It was about 6 inches long and maybe 4 inches high it had a platform built on the top and the bottom that was about 4x6 that made contact with the step. It looked like it raised no more then 4 or 5 inches. It was very small and compact. The guy had them when we walked by his booth and by the time I decided to buy one he was sold out. My Bad...
Thanks for the suggestions and help I'll keep looking and may find one day just about the time I decide to give up Motor Homing LoL - vic46ExplorerSmall bottle jack!
- JohnG3Explorer III've used a load-lock with good results. Not sure of cheaper but much lighter than scissor jacks.

I routinely take heavy stuff in and out of the coach, and the fold-down steps are not all that strong. Years ago I had the mfr redo some rivets, and last year I replaced a loose bolt.
Just curious as to why? Are we compensating for poor quality or design? Honestly just curious
I've tried using the one Dakota linked, and it works, but it seems to be always coming loose. I wouldn't have any settling issues since my steps are not automatic and fold quite easily. - imgoin4itExplorerBought a small car scissor jack for the exact same reason. Got it at a garage sale for $2.00. Used it a couple of times, worked well but I always afraid coach jacks would settle and I would really screw something up. Quit using it but it worked well.

Several years ago we were at Quartzsite in the Vendors tent and someone had made a small scissor jack that fit under the entrance step. Does anyone know where I can buy them?
I am not looking for the big one that comes with a car it was just like one only smaller..
Thanks LeeB
Good way to bend your steps if the jacks would bleed off are sink in the ground.
Just saying - Bob_OlallawaExplorerMight look for one made for a small car. Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply, or other hardware stores may stock smaller ones also
