I guess it backs up to what kind of RVer you are. If you are a FHU CG hopper a battery bank & charging system to support it for the RVer who does not mind dry camping would be a waste.
If you are only an occasional dry camper & like to camp in the shade solar will niot do you much good. Might as well get a genny, which works shade or not, day or night.
If dry camping is the preference & you like being out in the open then a serious solar system & battery bank is in order.
We prefer to camp where there is at least power. 30amp prefered but we can get along with only 20amp. We also like to do music festivals where often it is nothing but dry camping so we need to be prepared. That is why we have a better than average battery bank, an inverter & a genny.
Kind of pointless having stuff that won't really be needed.
