Torque Pro application video.
Since it's been possible for me to do so, oh, around 2005, I've run a Scan Gauge II on every single diesel vehicle I've owned. Since then, with the advent of smart phones, one can buy an ELM 327 Bluetooth sender (EBAY), that plugs into the OBD II port, and the Torque Pro application for their smart phone, and the two units will communicate, giving you all the information in raw data that you want to know off of the Electronic Control Module that controls all engine functions on your car.
