LP Grill

Our new motor home is equipped with an LP (low pressure) quick-connect to be used with a portable grill.

I was told all I need is a quick-connector and hookup directly to the grill. That means I do not need the regulator that connects a bottle or tank.

My issue that I need help with is what kind of a controller is needed to be able to adjust the flame. Additionally, where can I find a hose, connectors, etc.

As always, thanks for your thoughts

  • If you can find a propane dealer such as Amerigas, take your grill to them and they will fix a hose with the quick disconnect fitting and a control for the flame.
  • The regulator on your RV propane tanks will work as the regulator for anything you attach to your quick connect outlet. Whatever grill you have will have a knob to adjust the flame level, just like any other gas grill.
  • You need the regulator on the portable grill and control the flame with that The LP I don't think means low pressure but Liquid Propane
