I have had a small propane smell in my propane compartment for some time. I have leak checked all of the fittings more times than I can remember. Yesterday flow stopped from one tank even though it wasn't empty and it would not switch over to the completely full tank even manually. I switched the full tank to the side of the regulator that was working and propane flowed. I also moved the hose from the side of the regulator that wouldn't flow to the flow side and it worked.
The fact that I have had a small propane smell for some time, one side of the regulator won't flow and the "good side" stops flow before the selected tank is empty - replacing the regulator today.
