Over the years I've used anti seize material on the lugs of my vehicles with absolutely no problems at all. I recently found out that my owners manual for my Toyota Prius says to not use anti seize nor any lubricant on the threads because the nuts may come loose. Now I'm really conflicted about what to do in the future. I think if I don't have any problems with the threads I'll "let sleeping dogs lie". If the threads start to look corroded or give me trouble I'll put a little dab on the offending area.
