Getting those lug nuts off may be only half of your headache. When I went to replace the tires on my Dodge dually the store I went to for the tires couldn't get the wheels off of the truck. I hadn't heard of such a thing, apparently they have a policy where as they have to be extremely careful with damaging the rims and couldn't pound on the wheels to get them loose from the hubs. I ended up having to loosen up the wheels myself. What a job that turned out to be!! Took me two and half hours to loosen four wheels!!! Then I took the truck back and had the new tires mounted.
If you're wondering why I went through all that, it's because I had to order (and pay for) the tires in advance and because it was a "special order" I wasn't allowed to just walk away from the deal.
Found out later it's a fairly common problem for the wheels to "freeze" onto the hubs.
Good Luck with your project.
Dan
That is a very common problem in the colder, wet climates. I think that some folks put anti seize compound between the wheel and hub face to stop that from happening.
