We have a macerator that I installed. We have a slinky hose that is still in the box with all the attachments. I have no interest in ever using it. We don't stay at places without full hookup too often but have in the past. I like the fact that I don't have to deal with hooking/unhooking and storing hoses. I can just open the compartment door, take the hose with the attached head and put in the sewer connection, flip a switch, dump and go (at a dump station if needed). We will leave it hooked up full time at a site with the gray water open and close it the day before we leave so I have some gray water to rinse with. I know others frown upon them but when I learned of this I decided at this point in my life I don't want to deal with the mess (which I could have but never have)
We bought the
Thetford Box System - hard-wire unit.
