Hi Mex,
Thanks for the reply.
I've found out the answer "by inspection".
I'm plugged into 15 amp shore power. I've "dialed in" a maximum draw of 15 amps on the Magnum. After shore power initialized (there are built in transfer switches with a time delay), I turned on the inverter.
Then I deliberately over loaded by about 2 amps. Load support provided the extra power seamlessly. Then I over loaded by about 12 amps. Again load support "did its thing".
On the solar side, when the Magnum is in float mode it plays well with the Blue Sky. However when the Magnum goes to absorb mode (it did after the 2nd deliberate over load) it does NOT. I found a work around by deliberately triggering an equalization on the Blue Sky.
I have 15 amp power for the next 48 hours--a good thing as it is going to dip to -1 C Thursday night. I am connected via 50 feet of #10 cord. I may run a second shore power cable to get a little more heat going. Forecast high is 9 C and it is currently 7.5 C.
Magnum is at 4 amps 14.9 volts, Blue Sky is at 4.5 amps 15.1 volts.
